Youtube Thumbnail Experimentation
Over the years, I have contemplated beginning a Youtube channel to document travels and stories and do something that connects my love for adventure and digital editing tools.
I had far too much fun with these— using a variety of programs, but mainly Procreate and Adobe Photoshop. I do enjoy pulling fonts and text from Canva, as they have nice free fonts.
This thumbnail would be for a video on Prose haircare, a customizable and clean haircare (and now also skincare) brand that is sweeping the nation and overtaking the internet…but is it worth the hype?
This would be a thumbnail for a video about blue light glasses— do they work? How do they work? And are all created equal?
I took a day to document my adventures traveling around Istanbul, as a local expat. I went to get coffee, took pictures at the seaside, got coffee, and took the ferry. It was a lovely mini vlog that made its way only TikTok, but alas the full version has never premiered on Youtube!
We went to Pamukkale, which is a natural wonder with ancient city ruins and incredibly views. This simple thumbnail draws attention to the natural beauty of the place and highlights the joy we had exploring together, getting our feet wet and enjoying a well-earned vacation.
And lastly, we cannot forget a classic closet video—rough cutouts of me in front of an aesthetic and oddly neutral selection of my clothes. Inspiring!
