ART EDUCATOR AND CREATOR
“Caring passionately about something isn’t against nature. It’s what we’re here to do.”
ARTIST STATEMENT
My art is centered on the concept of place— how it feels vs. how it appears on the surface. My goal in watercoloring these places and sites is to capture its essence in a way that reminds the viewer of the mood of the space. I’m interested in places because as a third culture kid, I’ve moved all over the world and seen so many spaces and places. Each place has a completely different feeling, and I want to paint those feelings so that those who have loved and lived in these places can go back to my work and feel a sense of belonging and remembrance.
