Hipster House Plant Series

When I began to think about doing cards as well as prints and original watercolors, I thought about the types of cards I would personally buy from a store, or would like to use myself.

As a millennial who experienced the global pandemic in a cozy apartment, I was one of the many who dove into trends such as buying all the plants that would last and refresh the air, and making sourdough. As much as I long to not be basic, the house plant situation is one I have conceded to. I don’t mind it. I love easy-to-care-for plants too much to not fill my home with them.

I know I am not alone in my love for minimalist, hipster house plants. This is why. I had to do my first watercolor series about this very subject. I chose what I perceive to be the most fundamental hipster house plants, and enjoyed painting them in the most aesthetic way I could think of.

You can now buy these cards in my shop. I hope you love them as much as I do!
