You never know what you will find in Istanbul. Buildings cluster and layer in a way that has a nearly kaleidoscopic affect. Water bridges Asia and Europe, meaning the most scenic and perhaps even quickest way from one continent to the other is a ferry boat.
As a street photographer, I use both my phone and camera to capture life around me. Even the grainy phone photos elude to the weight of the place and complexity of the metropolis and life within it.
The following are shot within the city limits, from boat and land alike, and portray the magic of a simple journey from the Asian side to the European side.
